Justin Timberlake will need to take control of the narrative amid the bombshell revelations from Britney Spears' upcoming memoir.
New excerpts from the book, "The Woman in Me," revealed shocking details regarding Timberlake and Spears' past relationship: from their pregnancy to the "Toxic" singer's abortion. The pair dated from 1999 to 2002 after meeting on the set of "The Mickey Mouse Club" series.
Justin Timberlake's Plans May Be in Trouble Because of the Bombshells
Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Mirror, PR strategist Laura Perkes gave Timberlake advice amid the rev1elations that Spears' book shared. She said the *NSYNC member should "take control of the narrative" now because he could not stay silent for so long.
"Britney's bombshell revelations couldn't have come at a worse time for Justin Timberlake, right before his musical comeback," Perkes said. "Despite the fact he's stayed silent about his relationship with Britney, the revelations can't be ignored, nor should they."
The expert added that the media would need answers from Timberlake as much as their fans, so ignoring the controversies would not make them go away.
Per Perkes, silence will only make things worse.
She also shared how Timberlake's PR team should prepare and release a press statement addressing the allegations without sharing too many personal details especially since whatever happened in their private lives should remain private.
Although Spears shared her part, Perkes said Timberlake does not need to do it, as well.

"The press statement should state that Justin will reveal more when it feels like the right time for him, but for now, he's focusing on his family and his musical comeback," she went on.
The expert explained the current situation as the public unceasingly slammed Timberlake for his "disgusting" treatment of his ex-girlfriend. This came after the excerpt from the book revealed that he was not happy when Spears told him she was pregnant.
After the story about the abortion, new details revealed that Timberlake cheated on Spears with an unnamed celebrity.
A source recently told The Sun that the recent revelations might affect his plans - including his music, work with NSYNC, "Trolls" next installment and other projects.
Meanwhile, PR expert Andy Barr mirrored Perkes' comment and said that fans would not let things get away if Timberlake opted to stay silent.
