Even though Kanye West recently donated a five-figure sum to fund his campaign expenses, it has been revealed that his Committee only has less than $10,000 left.
This information was obtained from an updated financial report submitted to the Federal Election Commission by the musician's team.
Kanye's campaign reported receipts and expenses from July 1, 2023, to September 30, 2023.
Per Radar Online, at the start of this period, it had $23,142.22 on hand and was given $67,209 by Kanye himself. However, after disbursements totaled $80,351.22, it was left with only a meager sum of $10,000 remaining.
According to the recent report, Chalmers, Adams, Backer & Kaufman was paid $10,000 by a campaign; Green Elephant Consulting received $15,000 for compliance consulting purposes, GSF Inc was given $13,000 for accounting services, and Bruce Fein was presented with $10,000 plus an additional $150 for bank fees.
As detailed in its filing, Devin White, who served as Treasurer then, made an unauthorized payment to Bruce Fein without permission.
This has led to suspicions of potential fraud and conversion of campaign funds for personal use. As such, steps are being taken to resolve this matter, and further updates will be provided to relevant authorities once complete.
The report's findings indicated that $21,525 was paid to ex-campaign treasurer Devin White, one of which was not authorized and amounted to $10,000.
The former Treasurer reportedly had made an unauthorized payment to himself despite being explicitly told not to do so.
The Committee thinks such action could be considered fraudulent and misappropriating campaign funds for personal use.
They are exploring their options to investigate further and will keep the Commission updated on any progress made.
During this period, a Washington hotel room was paid $379; an additional $32.45 went towards food/beverage. Transportation expenses amounted to $323, while Williams, Porter, Day & Neville were paid $10k.
A report released by Kanye 2020 revealed that the report was covered from April 2023 with $124,000 but ended June 2023 with only $23,000.
Meanwhile, in the past, Bruce Fein and Devin White, both former members of the Committee, have examined the campaign's expenditures and uncovered signs of possible fraud and mismanagement. Our news team first reported this.
