After Kanye West's failed 2020 presidential bid, will he try his luck to be in office in 2024?
West attempted to become the U.S. president by running in the 2020 presidential election. However, his bid failed as President Joe Biden took over the office.
Amid the aspirants' campaigns for the 2024 election, questions about whether the "Jesus Is King" rapper will try again emerged.
Kanye West's Future Ahead of 2024 Election Revealed
On Thursday, October 19, West's personal attorney spoke to Rolling Stone to confirm that the Yeezy founder has no plans to try again.
"He's not a candidate for office in 2024," Bruce Marks said.
Milo Yiannopoulos previously declared that he would be the director of political operations of YE24, but he is no longer part of the team.
Marks' confirmation mirrored what sources close to his 2020 committee said that there is no plan to run again in 2024 as "there's no campaign structure or anything along those lines in place."
The Federal Election Commission filing in October disclosed that West's 2020 political committee allocated zero dollars for primary expenditures during the reporting period.
The clarification came after documentary producer Adam Camacho revealed that West told him about his change in focus after the 2020 election.
"Right now, I am living my life - like I'm concentrating on the school, The Donda Academy, and my new wife, and my kids, and that's it," West reportedly told the producer. "I just want to be left alone."
The hip-hop artist also shifted his focus on his children, family and creative plans; one insider added that he lost his desire to become a president after marrying his muse, designer and architect Bianca Censori.
Kanye West's New Treasurer Drops Massive Accusations
West's new treasurer, Hassan Sheikh, made a recent filing with the FEC in which he alleged that the previous treasurer, Devin White, and attorney Bruce Fein received unauthorized payments from July 1 to September 30.
"The Committee believes this transaction is potentially fraudulent and a conversion of campaign funds to personal use, and is pursuing its options accordingly," the report said, per Radar Online.
Meanwhile, Marks previously denied the allegations that West violated federal election law.
