Taylor Swift's romance with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has drawn attention from NFL commentators and fans, but Kelly Clarkson wants them to concentrate on the game.
On her show on Friday, the talk show host, 41, who recently debuted her vengeance body after a bitter divorce, discussed how the celebrity couple's influence on sports coverage while speaking with 32-year-old Saturday Night Live actor Bowen Yang.
The Stronger singer bemoaned, "It's not hilarious how it's literally taking over the NFL for people that like watching sports now."
Since Taylor, 33, watched the Chiefs vs. Bears game on September 24, NFL viewing has increased as her admirers, the Swifties, tune in to try to see the celebrity in one of the sky boxes.
According to Variety, the appearance attracted a total of 24.32 million viewers, with female viewers between the ages of 12 and 49 ranking the highest. When the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets squared off on October 1, there was a similar increase in viewers.
The NFL has changed its moniker on X (formerly known as Twitter) to "NFL (Taylor's Version)" because it recognizes a good thing when it sees one. During the most recent game coverage, Kelly referred to interference.
She made fun of the commentators' new direction, saying, "It's like you're watching Housewives while you're watching, and they're just talking about gossip things and you're like "so what about the play?"' she joked about the commentators' new focus."
Bowen also dished on the 'Trayvis' surprise appearance on SNL last weekend.
"It was so wild. We didn't expect them to come," the comedian explained. "I round the corner, they're at the page desk and ... I'm like, "Oh, there's two of the tallest people I've ever seen. Who are they?"' he explained.

Taylor fan Bowen said that he had attended one of her sold-out Eras shows. Ice Spice, with whom Taylor co-wrote the Karma remix from her Midnights album, was introduced by Taylor as the evening's musical performer.
Travis made a surprise appearance in one of the sketches as well. How many more games Taylor will be able to attend is unknown.
