Britney Spears' new tell-all memoir "The Woman in Me" delved into her relationship with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, as well as his short-lived music career.
According to reports, the "Oops I Did It Again" singer discussed the public "doubting" Federline's rap career after he released his debut single "Y'all Ain't Ready."
However, since he was so determined to make it big, her ex took his career "so seriously," even more so than their marriage, to which she alluded.
"Bless his heart," she wrote in the memoir.
After the first single, Federline, who went by the monicker K-Fed, released "Popozao," which essentially "flopped," as per big critics.
Britney Spears Vs. Kevin Federline's Music Careers
According to Page Six, critics had a way of describing Federline's music, highlighting how drastically different his songs were in comparison to Spears' in terms of commercial and critical success.
"Federline's rhyme flow is the opposite of tight," The Rolling Stones wrote about the song.
Slant Magazine on the other hand was more straightforward with their review of his album, noting it was "just as disposable and dumb as you'd expect."
Billboard wrote, "In general, Federline enunciates well."
Meanwhile, the "Toxic" singer has enjoyed critical and commercial success since she was a teenager, and her music has always sat comfortably atop music charts.
She is one of the most well-known stars of the 90s to early 2000s, and to this day, she still has a massive loyal fanbase.

Britney Spears, Kevin Federline's Relationship
Spears and Federline met in 2004, when he was a back-up dancer for her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
"Our eyes met and that was it. We just hit it off right away. I learned real fast how much of a whirlwind the press and everything was," Federline explained about their first meeting.
A few months later, they got married, and a year later, they welcomed their first child, Sean Preston, the following year, they welcomed another son, Jayden James.
However, several months after giving birth to their second son, they filed for divorce.
"I think I married for all the wrong reasons," Spears said about the divorce in 2008.
"Instead of following my heart and, like, doing something that made me really happy. I just did it because ... for just, like, the idea of everything."
Spears' sons now live with Federline in Hawaii, where they recently relocated to.
