The move from the Universal Lot in Los Angeles to Studio 6A in 30 Rock for Season 5 of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" has been made over the summer, with its premiere on October 16.
However, reports have arisen that Kelly Clarkson needs to be kind when dealing with her live audience and new crew members off camera.
The Sun recently gained insight into the talk show host's actions backstage after taping her show. According to a source who spoke with the publication, Kelly was unapproachable when she arrived on set.
"Kelly was distant and unwelcoming when she entered the studio," said the insider to the outlet.
With a friendly gesture, the former "American Idol" winner acknowledged the crowd and assumed her place in preparation for shooting the first scene.
However, rather than taking notice of those who had come to watch, throughout the entire event, her team appeared multiple times for alterations to her hair and makeup.
The source shared an interesting story: "One fan went above and beyond to demonstrate his appreciation for this particular act."
After a one-and-a-half-hour performance, the 41-year-old entertainer's departure from the stage was not met with fanfare.
The onlooker said Kelly simply said farewell and waved goodbye before returning and walking away from the crowd as her accompaniment continued to play.
In contrast to her usual attitude, the audience of "Live With Kelly and Mark" were surprised at how friendly they felt during a recent taping.
According to an inside source from The Sun, both hosts went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable, taking pictures and signing copies of their books. On top of that, Kelly was unashamedly open about her wardrobe mishap on set.
The inside source revealed that even though Kelly Clarkson did not acknowledge the audience, she didn't converse much with her crew. Some were new to the team, while others moved to New York City to continue working with her.
It was clear that the production team had some new faces when the show moved to its new studio.
The stage manager and her hair and makeup crew primarily spoke with the singer-host.
Noteworthy, an audience handler mentioned it being her first day on set. Additionally, a few guests were also present for that particular taping.
Nerves were also palpable in the room as the audience watched the newest member of the band take to the stage. This was the musician's first gig, and all that was heard from her before the beginning was a fear that any mistake would get her sacked.
It has been reported that the talented musician was discovered recently by Kelly Clarkson's band director while scouting in Central Park.
This person has since been asked to play on an episode of her show, though it is still being determined whether or not they have been recruited on a more permanent basis.
