Fans of Hollywood power couple Jada Pinkett and Wil Smith were surprised to learn they had been separated since 2016.
But a body language expert suggested that Will may be embracing the attention from his recent split with his wife.
Many have celebrated their relationship over the years as one of Tinseltown's strongest marriages.
"We're still figuring it out," Jada told People. "We've been doing some heavy-duty work together. We deeply love each other, and we will figure out what that looks like for us."
In her new memoir "Worthy," Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that although it was a rocky road for her and her husband, they are doing their best to mend their marriage and recapture the love that drew them together.
The couple is parents to two children, Jaden and Willow, and has a third son, Trey, from Will's previous marriage.
At a promotional event for his book in Baltimore, Will honored his estranged wife with an unexpected speech.
As he took the stage, he described their marriage as "a sloppy public experiment in unconditional love."
"As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I've ever been in my entire life ... I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life," as reported by the Baltimore Sun. "I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me."
Judi James, an expert in interpreting human behavior, believes that Will had something else in mind when speaking at the event: a way to bring attention to Jada's new book.
Since the surprising announcement by Jada concerning their estrangement, Will has been getting a lot of public attention.
It was easy to see that while he had come to support his wife, there was an unmistakable air of enjoyment in how he held himself. "A familiar look about him indicating that maybe he's rather happy with all the focus these news have brought," she observed, telling The Mirror.
Judi pointed out that when there's a camera in the vicinity, it appears not much has changed concerning how "big kid" Willie behaves.

With his arched eyebrows, wide-open mouth, and firmly held microphone, he could easily be mistaken for one of Jada's children.
Moreover, she seems to look up at him with a fondness akin to what an attentive mother would possess.
In her words, the key to this phenomenon could be found in Will's remarks concerning "unconditional love," typically something reserved for parents. This notion was further evidenced in his behavior during a social media video of the couple opening her book; he essentially acted like a parent figure.
Jada seriously discussed the effort it took to get to this point, whereas Will was in full celebration mode.
He romped around with the other children, wasting time for the cameras and displaying behavior that suggested his outlook was one of carefree enthusiasm about what was to come.
