Britney Spears' state of mind months before her then-boyfriend has revealed her 2008 conservatorship took effect.
This week, news has broken that the ex-girlfriend of Adnan Ghalib, pop princess Britney Spears, yearns to become a mother.
It was also reported that she had an abortion with her then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake in 2000 when they were both 19.
Despite having sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, 18 and 17, respectively, Britney is believed to be tormented by her choice to terminate her pregnancy with Justin.
Adnan, a 50-year-old security consultant, had a relationship with Britney before her father, Jamie, initiated her contentious mental health conservatorship.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Adnan opened up about his time with the "Baby One More Time" singer, revealing that she had expressed a strong desire for more children.
According to him, Britney was interested in having a daughter to overcome the tension between her and her mom, Lynne.
Hailing from Birmingham, England, and now residing in California, this Brit said: "She longed for a baby girl. It seemed she wanted to repair what she felt her mother had not done right."
Britney tells her story of raising a daughter in the book, never using Adnan's name. The concept of raising her little girl as Britney imagined in a typical suburban atmosphere struck a chord with her.
Her story narrates the brief period in which they were together and how his past job as a paparazzi photographer did nothing to deter her because of his "chivalrous" attitude. However, their time together was cut short when the conservatorship started.
Adnan shared his experience with the famous singer and noted that Britney never mentioned her past abortion to him.

In contrast, she was candid in discussing the emotional wounds from losing custody of her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline in 2008 before entering a conservatorship.
He firmly believed that she yearned to be a mother again, recollecting: "For as long as I have known her, being a mother to the boys was paramount, but she also had an unwavering longing for more children."
"Bringing a new life into our family was something my partner yearned for. "
It wasn't about her disregarding her two sons but rather an idea of having a more "conventional" setup. She longed to be liberated from external entities that had taken charge of her life.
Texas was the one place that held a particular magic for her - it symbolized regaining control and the chance to have a child of their own.
Having a baby in the house would be her redemption, instead of having children taken away from her like her sons. The longing and yearning for time with those boys was always present within her.
Adnan revealed the thrilling news of Britney's belief that she was expecting his baby during her time in Mexico in 2008.
The couple had an incredible getaway, which certainly reinvigorated Britney and put her on track to fighting for custody of her children in court.
He said: "We had a mini break, which was fabulous, where she seemed to be getting back on track and ready to show the judge she was fit to get her kids back.
"She told me: 'I am in love with you' and said, 'I think I am pregnant.' She seemed very excited about it, and I knew she would want to keep the child. I could see in her eyes the excitement was consuming her."
Adnan continued, "We rushed to a pharmacy to get a test, but it proved negative. I could see her heart sink, and she was quiet for the rest of the day. She was shocked because she told me she had the same feelings and symptoms as before when carrying both Sean and Jayden."
"I know she wants more children and is desperate to find the right person to settle down with. I hope she meets the man who truly makes her happy."
