Jason Alexander, Britney Spears' ex-husband, has denied her assertions that she was'very drunk' and 'bored with her life' at the time of their marriage. Did the singer lie on her memoir?

Alexander has maintained that they were not intoxicated prior to their 2004 Vegas wedding and that they were'very much in love' with one another.

The former couple, who had been friends since childhood, was only married for 55 hours when their marriage was dissolved.

She wrote, "He and I got sh**-faced. I don't even remember the night at all, but from what I pieced together, he and I lounged around the hotel room and stayed up late watching movies - Mona Lisa Smile and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - then had the brilliant idea of going to A Little White Chapel at three thirty in the morning.'"

She said people were genuinely interested to find out if she ever loved Alexander and the answer is no. Instead, she was both drunk and very bored at the time.

Their officiant has also described it as such, but Jason has shot down her allegations after the publication of her autobiography and stated they weren't drinking. In order to sell Britney's book to the highest bidder,

Jason told TMZ that while he still loves and cares for her, he would only take a signed copy.

The Little White Wedding Chapel was the site of the January 3, 2004 marriage, which was dissolved on January 5, three days later.

Britney described how her family made way too big a deal out of innocent fun. She said she thought everyone knew that having ridiculous Vegas wedding is a joke but her family acted as if she had started World War III.

The celebrity claimed that she cried for the entire remainder of her stay in Las Vegas.

Britney added that her family was "so against the wedding" that she came to think of as being brilliant, accidentally. She said she had a horrible realization at the time: "something about me being under their control and not having a stronger connection to someone else had become very, very important to them... Perhaps it's worth mentioning that, by this point, I was supporting them financially."

Four years after getting married in Vegas in 2008, Britney was placed under conservatorship, which lasted for 14 years until a judge terminated it in 2021.

Jason attempted to break into Britney's wedding to Sam Asghari in 2022 while livestreaming the event on Instagram. The event occurred nearly twenty years after their marriage, and he was found guilty of violence and aggravated trespassing.
