Kim Kardashian has been called "Smart Spice" by Geri Halliwell after she declared her wish to join the Spice Girls.

In a Tuesday-released interview with E! News, the singer-turned-author discussed the reality star's desire to be part of the "Spice Girls." "She deserves something really good," Geri, 51, told the outlet. "She deserves something like Inner Strength Spice. I think she's Smart Spice. She's smart. It's brilliant that you're beautiful from the outside, but also she's beautiful with a book in her back pocket. I love that. We can all be things. Good for her!"

The Wannabe hitmaker made her remarks not long after Kim, in a recent episode of The Kardashians, declared her adoration for the British girl trio. "She's amazing," Geri, formerly known as Ginger Spice, continued.

"I think she's a very, very good role model. She's smart. She's really been inspiring the way she's turned that business around and also for women to celebrate your curves. I really like that about her."

The creator of Skims disclosed that she had previously dressed up as Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham, for a talent contest during an earlier episode of The Kardashians. Kim, 43, claimed to have been a Spice Girl for her talent performance. I went by Victoria. I was, well, Posh."

Meanwhile, It appears that Geri Halliwell has dashed any dreams of a Spice Girls reunion in time for the group's 1994 formation anniversary, which falls on January 31st.

For starters, she's too busy writing children's books. Earlier in the year, there was conjecture over the possible celebration of the Spice Girls' 30th anniversary.

Some questioned if a reunion might take place there in 2024 when Mel C stated during a solo performance at the Glastonbury Festival that "all of the Spice Girls would like to play Glasto, that is the truth."

In a later interview, though, Halliwell told the Sunday Times that no such conversation had taken place.

The shift from pop star to author must have shocked many fans, but Halliwell-Horner has always been good with words, and her bandmates knew it. "Geri's brilliant with lyrics," her fellow Spice Girl Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm told Rolling Stone in 1997, at the height of their fame. The reporter also described her as the chattiest of the group.

Meanwhile, Halliwell-Horner says that writing books was a natural progression from songwriting. "I always just loved storytelling," she tells me. "They both, to me, are the same."
