Despite having decades' worth of a career, Cher revealed she is not a fan of herself.
Cher, who has rekindled her romance with Alexander "AE" Edwards, reflected on her career as a singer as she revealed why she does not find it enjoyable to listen to her music.
Cher Is Not a Fan of Her Music
On Thursday, October 26, Cher spoke in a sit-down interview with Paper Magazine during which she shared why she is "not a Cher fan." Despite that, she expressed how much she likes singing and performing.
"I just never liked my voice that much. If I had my choice, I probably would have another one, but I didn't get my choice. I got my mother's voice," she said, adding that her unusual tone of voice is "weird." "It doesn't sound like a man, it doesn't sound like a woman. I'm somewhere more in-between."
The 77-year-old "If I Could Turn Back Time" singer added that her singing style is "strange" as she does not pronounce her Rs when she cannot hold a note.
Aside from her voice, Cher also expressed how she often feels unhappy with how her releases have turned out over the past few years. Per the crooner, she has dropped many albums, but not everything became a hit.
In fact, the ones she was not excited about were the ones that ended up having the most attention.

Cher Speaks Highly of Her New Album
After a long wait, Cher made her new album "Christmas" with Edwards and released it on October 20.
"I like this album," she shared. "When I listen to it, I think this worked out. It wasn't planned out, but it worked out."
Cher and Edwards have been receiving mixed reactions to their relationship due to their huge age gap, and she recently revealed to Extra how it affects their relationship.
"Sometimes I'm talking to him, and he has no idea who I'm talking about," she continued. "The other day, I said, 'Do you know who, I don't know, Clark Gable, [is]?' Somebody said, 'Yes, of course,' but most of my references... He'll look at me and go, 'I wasn't born yet.'"
