Eminem has decided to expand his empire once again by releasing a pasta sauce called "Mom's Spaghetti," which is inspired by a line from his 2002 hit song "Lose Yourself."
"Get your sweaters ready for some tasty s'ghetti sauce!!!" Read the product description. "For the most legitimate Mom's Spaghetti pasta, pull some pre-cooked spaghetti from the fridge and reheat in a frying pan while adding your Mom's Spaghetti sauce ... It's ready when the noodles have a bit of a snap and the sauce is heated to taste."
According to reports, "Mom Spaghetti" pasta sauce is made by the rapper's restaurant of the same name in Woodward Avenue, Detroit.
As of this writing, though, the pasta sauce is not available because they have been listed as sold out. For now, though, fans would have to keep waiting and pre-order the 25-ounce jars online.
Eminem Takes Inspiration From Hit Song
"Mom's Spaghetti" is from Eminem's 2002 song, which features the lyrics: "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti."
"Lose Yourself" was featured and included in the soundtrack of the film "8 Mile," and it eventually earned Eminem an Oscar Award for Best Song.
Thus, the rapper began building his food empire on "Mom's Spaghetti," as he opened a pop-up store before it was eventually converted into a restaurant.
Not only does Eminem's restaurant have the world-famous "Mom's Spaghetti" included in the menu, but they also have several other items like sandwiches and spaghetti with meatballs, as well as "pop" or water.
"Don't even eat a bite of your spaghetti until you put it in the bread, because otherwise you're gonna ruin the whole f*** thing," Eminem said.
"Don't be stupid, if I f*** catch you doing that without the f****bread, I don't know what I'm gonna do. Hell, there's gonna be hell to pay.
"I'm not trying to offend anyone, but if you're a f****idiot, don't eat Mom's Spaghetti."
Netizens Come After Eminem's Pasta Sauce
While Eminem is thrilled about his newly launched pasta sauce, netizens could not help but poke fun at him.
Some even compared him to Mariah Carey: "He's selling spaghetti sauce while Mariah is preparing to have the #1 song in America for the 5th year in a row IJBOL."
"Nasty and flavorless," another added.
"This doesn't feel very HipHop."
