One festivalgoer of the Nova Music Festival, who was reportedly held hostage by the Hamas terrorists, has been confirmed dead.

The State of Israel disclosed in a post on X that 23-year-old German-Israeli Shani Luk was among the attendees who died after the attack. Initial reports said she was kidnapped and soon murdered, but the state only released the confirmation on Monday, October 30.

Nova Music Festival Concertgoer Found Dead

Luk was seen dancing with her friends in a video hours before the attack. Reports that the militants parading her naked body in the back of a pickup truck emerged afterward.

"Shani who was kidnapped from a music festival and tortured and paraded around Gaza by Hamas terrorists, experienced unfathomable horrors," the statement from Israel continued. "Our hearts are broken. May her memory be a blessing."

Her mother, Ricarda, previously asked everyone for information after watching the gruesome videos of the attack. She told CNN that her daughter attended the festival with other tourists but was taken by the military people when she tried to get in her car.

Despite the initial reports, the matriarch expressed her hopes to see her daughter again as she wished she was still alive somewhere.

Hundreds of attendees were also left dead at the venue following the massacre. The Hamas attack on Israel already left 1,400 people dead, while around 200 people remain hostages.

Former Desolated Bassist Also Died at the Event

The Independent confirmed earlier this month that former Desolated bassist Jake Marlowe was also killed during the music festival massacre while trying to evacuate people. He reportedly used a quad bike to help the attendees when the Hamas militants launched the attack and opened fire at the venue.

According to Marlowe's friend Daniel Aboudy, the late musician spoke to his mother when he saw the rockets being fired from Gaza. He also filmed the event; however, no one was able to reach him again after 45 minutes.

"At about 5.30AM, he texted to say, 'signal very bad, everything OK, will keep you updated I promise you,' and that he loves me," his mother, Lisa, told The Jewish Chronicle. She also quoted her son saying, "I don't know what we're supposed to be doing. I've got people in Israel phoning the home guard command, others talking to others, everyone's just trying to help as much as they can."
