Nick Carter is still grieving and emotional about his younger brother Aaron Carter's abrupt death. He said it is still not sinking in on certain days.
In a recent interview, the Backstreet boy said that he still finds Aaron's death to be "unbelievable" and that his brother's absence at the holidays hurts.
"These are like moments and milestones and times when I've actually shared those memories with my brother and with my family, good times," said Nick. "And even though I'm sharing it with my kids and my family now, it's still, there's times when I sit by myself - or if I'm in my car - and I say to myself: "This is unbelievable."'
"Yeah, I'm just still processing the whole thing, and sometimes you push it down because you don't wanna think about it, and then it comes out like this so...but I'm hoping that one day I can make sense of it all." Nick said, his eyes brimming with tears.
"It's just that no matter what, he's my brother and I miss him, I love him," he continued after gathering himself. He said he's still working on moving forward and hoping that one day, everything will already make sense.
The son of Aaron, Princeton Lyric Carter, who turns two the day before Thanksgiving, filed a wrongful death complaint last week.
According to TMZ, physicians and pharmacies are accused of writing prescriptions for Aaron's medications even though they were aware of his "mental health and psychiatric condition" and did not have a valid medical justification to give him the substance.
The medications included in the court filings include oxycodone, hydrocodone, and alprazolam, of which Xanax is a brand. One of the defendants in the lawsuit is Walgreens, arguing that given Aaron's mental health issues, the pharmacists' suspicions should have been aroused by the quantity of medication he was taking.
Earlier in October, Angel Carter, Aaron Carter's twin sister, has disclosed where Aaron Carter will ultimately lay.
In an Instagram post, Angel, 35, disclosed her brother's memorial location and urged followers to visit it almost a year after the musician passed away. Aaron's monument consists of a gold plaque with a picture of the star on it, his birth and death dates written next to it, and a mention of his 23-month-old son Prince.
