Mariah Carey Ignores Divorce Rumors As She Heads Into Rehearsals For 'The Elusive Chanteuse Show'

Mariah Carey's name has been on the tip of our tongue a lot lately but not for the reasons that she would prefer. Instead of dishing on her 'The Elusive Chanteuse Show' that begins October 4th in Tokyo the media has spent tons of time dissecting the state of her marriage to Nick Cannon. After staying particularly quiet for a few weeks and spending all of her time with 'dem babies'—Roc and Roeher 3-year old twins, Mariah is now getting down to business in rehearsals.

Last night Mariah took to her Twitter to post pictures from a tour rehearsal session that took place earlier in the day. 'The Elusive Chanteuse Show' kicks off in Tokyo on Oct. 4th and will wind its' way across Asia for the rest of the month. Fans can also expect more tour dates coming soon as Mariah Carey gets herself together and goes back to doing the thing she is best at, performing live in front of a sell out crowd.

This tour will support the stars' latest album Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse which dropped last May and debuted at number 3 on the charts with 58,000 units sold. So what about all of those rumors dogging Mariah and Nick Cannon? Well it's pretty clear that the couple is living very separate lives' and Nick has admitted as much. Rumors have also swirled about Nick keeping not one but two mistresses, bought and paid for on the West Coast. Supposedly that little detail is what pushed Mariah into her divorce attorney's office and who could blame her if that is actually true?

The status of Carey and Cannon's marriage and how it'll all shake out is still unknown but getting back to the work is likely the best thing for the songbird, don't you think?
