Machine Gun Kelly hit back at the trolls after having an embarrassing interview during the F1 Grand Prix.
On Sunday, November 5, Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle conducted random interviews during the Formula 1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. One of the most popular individuals he encountered included Machine Gun Kelly, who had trouble hearing the interviewer which led to awkward pauses throughout the discussion.
Machine Gun Kelly Suffers Criticism
On X, MGK offered a short response to the condemnation he experienced after the awkward interview.
The 33-year-old "I Think I'm OKAY" rapper wrote, "my anxiety has won. i hate being in public."
Fans also defended him in the comments section and assured him that the interview was not a big deal.
One wrote, "We love you, Kells. Take a time for you, people are horrible sometimes. We wish we could protect you from this cruel world."
"We all look normal and functional on the outside and we are all so anxious on the inside," one X user reminded everyone, another added, "Sorry to read that bro, I had to step away from digital marketing and media intake for a couple weeks and it really helped a ton. Good luck bro hope you feel better soon!"
The support came after he responded in another since-deleted post about the incident, asking the user why his vibe was the worst.
"because someone put a microphone in my face, essentially forcing me to do a random interview when i was just trying to enjoy an event?" the "Bloody Valentine" singer added. "because car engines were so loud i couldnt hear him? please tell me more about why im the worst."
What Happened During The Interview?
Brundle notably approached MGK at the event during which the musician always suffered delays in his responses.
Because he could not hear the interviewer, he just thanked the reporter before trying to hear another question about the poppy pin on his shirt- which he ended up mishearing about his career.
Brundle also asked him about his thoughts about F1, but MGK continued speaking about his career and current plans in the industry.
The rapper has been open about his mental health issues and the worst paranoia he faced after his father's death. He shared more details about it in his Hulu documentary, "Life in Pink."
