It has been five years since Mariah Carey released a solo project that is not related to the holidays and fans have been waiting for her to drop new music. More recently, the musician teased her next project, is a new record finally coming out soon?
The Queen of Christmas recently appeared in an interview with Good Morning America where she revealed that she has been working on a new project that fans will surely love when it comes out.
The singer said new songs could potentially be released in the future as she's already writing them in the present.
The day before the interview, Carey claimed she and her team were just in the studio working on a song with a choir and it's exciting.
"I've been working ... on just writing new songs... Yesterday we were in the studio working on something with a choir, working on a new song. So it's exciting," she told the outlet.
As of this writing, Mariah Carey has yet to share the complete details about her next studio album. Her last record titled "Caution" was released in 2018.
Mariah Carey Shares Details About 'All I Want For Christmas'
Mariah Carey is indeed the queen of Christmas as she constantly appear in the Billboard charts whenever it's the holiday season.
In the interview, the musician gave a background on how the legendary song "All I Want For Christmas" was conceived.
She revealed that it all happened 30 years ago when she was working alone. At the time, Carey was sitting and playing with her Casio keyboard and just writing all the words that popped into her head.

Carey then released all of her thoughts especially the things that she often thinks about whenever it's Christmas season, and from that, the iconic song was born.
"My goal was to do something timeless, so it didn't feel like the '90s, which is when I wrote it," she said.
Mariah Carey Holiday Tour 2023
Last month, Mariah Carey announced that she would be going on a tour titled "Merry Christmas One and All!" this year to celebrate the holiday season and fans couldn't wait to see her perform live again.
Her first show will begin in a few days, on November 15, 2023, in Highland, California, and will visit major cities across North America like Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Boston, and Baltimore, and will wrap up at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 17, 2023. (via Rolling Stone)
