After months of waiting, the official trailer for the highly-anticipated "Mean Girls" the musical has finally been released, but instead of celebrating the new cast's talents, people were not too happy with how they dressed, blaming the styling team.
Taking to the official social media accounts of the movie, the full 2-minute trailer was finally released which featured an entirely different cast from the original movie and it featured some scenes that would make fans have a trip to memory lane.
However, not all fans were happy with how the cast members dressed and users didn't hold back with their comments online.
"I just don't get why the wardrobe of today's movies has to be so pedestrian," one wrote.
"The costuming in this is actually atrocious," one noted.
"Look, I like the musical and all but the original Mean Girls is still a classic, even to this day. And while I get it's a modern retailing there comes the reservation of it potentially losing the nuance the original has. And I'm sorry but we have to critique the fashion," another one wrote.
"The costumes have no reason to be this bad when the original mean girls movie is iconic for its fashion," one posted.

Fans should expect the same story of the first film, but with a musical twist. However, it's still unsure if there are parts of the original story that were altered or there are going to be new scenes.
