Over the past few days, Timbaland received backlash from online fans after he made an insensitive comment about Britney Spears and his good pal Justin Timberlake.
More recently, the record producer appeared to have re-think his actions as he finally issued an apology to the pop star because of his choice of words.
Taking to his official TikTok account, the musician held a livestream where he said: "I apologize to the Britney fans and her. Yeah, so you know, about respecting women? Hell yeah."
Despite offering his apology, it seems like fans still didn't forgive him as they took to social media to express their frustrations.
Timbaland Gets Called Out AGAIN After Apology
"U say sorry to the fans first before the person you disrespected? If you still hurt she didn't work with you, Just say that and keep it moving," one wrote.
"I'm not a Britney Spears fanatic, I doubt Timbaland is sorry for the way he spoke, just that he got called out on it," one expressed their opinion.
"He already said what he thinks anything after it's just empty words should have kept his mouth shut," another one noted.
As of this writing, Britney Spears has yet to react on Timbaland's recent apology and comment.
Timbaland Gets Called Out For Inappropriate Comment About Britney Spears
The recent apology comes a few days after Timbaland, who is a good friend and collaborator of the pop star's ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, attended the Sound Architects: A Producer Conversation, an event that was held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
During his appearance on stage, where he appeared to be a guest at a conference, he revealed that he tried to call Justin Timberlake, who was directly named on Britney Spears' new memoir, after the book "The Woman in Me" was published.
"I wanted to call and say, 'JT, you gotta put a muzzle on that,'" he joked. (via Pop Crave)
However, not all fans were happy with his comment as they called him out on social media.

One of the people included in the book is Justin Timberlake where she discussed about their relationship and even revealed that she got pregnant with the singer's baby, but he told her to abort the unborn child.
Following this, Timberlake received a lot of backlash from fans for the way he treated the pop star.
