Lainey Wilson Wins Big At 2023 CMA Awards

Lainey Wilson was the most nominated artist of the night and she went home as the most awarded artist of the night too with five trophies!

She won Album of the Year for "Bell Bottom Country," Female Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year - the latter two for her collaboration with HARDY, "Wait In The Truck. Wilson also bagged the top prize of the night, Entertainer of the Year.

"This is all I've ever wanted to do, it's the only thing I know how to do," she said during her acceptance speech. "We have played... I think at the end of the year we'll have played about 186 shows this year and we've worked our butts off this year and so many years in between. I've been in this town for 12-and-a-half years and it finally feels like country music is starting to love me back." (via People Magazine)

Notably, Lainey Wilson now aligns herself with other Country superstars like Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and Johnny Cash who won five awards in one night. Aside from this, she also now belongs to the elite pack of female artists who won four awards in one night - Miranda Lambert, Allison Krauss, and Taylor Swift.
