The nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards have just been announced and fans are shocked to see huge snubs and surprises.

Publications have laid out their own hypotheses and predictions on which artists, acts, and records will be nominated, but there still seemed to be a huge shock for some of the nominated acts for the Grammy Awards 2024.

Check out our list below:

Grammy Nominations 2024 Snubs

Morgan Wallen

Despite being one of the biggest recording artists to date, Morgan Wallen, was yet again, shut down by the Grammy Awards. Wallen's "One Thing At A Time" is one of the biggest albums of the 2020s decade, staying at the Billboard 200 chart for weeks. Similarly, his song "Last Night" achieved a similar feat on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wallen's song "Last Night" was nominated for Best Country Song, however, Wallen isn't actually recognized as he was not the one who wrote it. It seemed like his checkered history with the public seemed to have affected his chances on being nominated.

Lainey Wilson

Lainey Wilson recently bagged five Country Music Association (CMA) Awards earlier this week. She even took home the top prize of Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year, lining her up with the likes of Johnny Cash and other country music stars.

However, she was shut down on the Best New Artist category and her album, "Bell Bottom Country," although nominated for Best Country Album, failed to snag an Album of the Year nomination.

Luke Combs

Next to Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs made the loudest noise in the country music scene with his "Fast Cars." Many publications have predicted that Combs' "Fast Cars" will be nominated for Record of the Year, sadly it didn't and only snagged a Best Country Solo Performance. Despite country music's huge success this year, there are no country albums, songs, or records, nominated on the Big 3.

Peso Pluma & Karol G

Latin music's biggest artists this year failed to snag any nominations for the Big 4. Peso Pluma was shut out of Best New Artist, although "Genesis" was nominated for Best Música Mexicana Album.

Karol G's "Mañana Será Bonito" wasn't nominated for Album of the Year but it was nominated for Best Música Urbana Album.

Barbie The Album

Songs from "Barbie The Album" were highly nominated this year - "Dance The Night," "Barbie World," "I'm Just Ken," and "What Was I Made For" snagged various nominations including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Despite the huge fanfare around the album, it failed to get an Album of the Year nomination. Nevertheless, it was nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.
