Eight years ago, One Direction released their last album titled "Made In the A.M." and fans have been waiting for them to reunite and drop new music again as a group; could it still be possible in the future?
The boy band, which shot to fame following their appearance in "X-Factor UK," released their last album on November 13, 2015. It was their first project without Zayn Malik as he left the group months before the album was released.
Produced by Julian Bunetta, Jesse Shatkin, John Ryan, and many more, the record contained some of the band's biggest hits like "Drag Me Down," "History," "Olivia," and many more.
It received positive comments from critics and did well in the charts as it was able to sold 459,000 album-equivalent units within its first week. It debuted at number two in the US Billboard 200, but number one on the UK Albums Chart.
Zayn Malik Reveals Why One Direction Split
It's been years since members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne got together and their supporters have been wanting to hear more music from them.
In an interview with Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast earlier this week, Malik revealed the true reason why One Direction decided to breakup.
After five years of their career, the musician said all of them had gotten "sick of each other."

"I don't wanna go into too much detail, but there was a lot of politics going on. Certain people were doing certain things, certain people didn't wanna sign contracts, so I knew something was happening," he explained. (via Entertainment Weekly)
It is also one of the reasons why Malik decided to leave the group beforehand as he "got ahead of the curve."
One Direction Reunion Possible to Happen in the Future?
More recently, the band's former vocal coach spoke in an interview with Metro UK to share his thoughts about the possibility of One Direction getting back together following their indefinite hiatus.
Ali Tennant told the outlet that each of the members of the boy band individually bloomed after they stopped working with each other and became successful in their separate careers.
Regarding the reunion, Tennant said: "I think it's going to be a big discussion for them to come back."
He further noted that the band will not come back for the money, but rather for the fans who loved them through the years.
