Aston Merrygold suffered from a terrifying blunder onstage during a JLS concert.

On Saturday, November 11, Merrygold performed alongside his bandmates Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill during a recent tour. However, he sparked concerns when he failed to do his backflip properly.

What Happened to Aston Merrygold?

Fans were left concerned after videos from the concert in Sheffield showed Merrygold falling onto his back after a failed backflip emerged. He notably performs his move by jumping from a raised step.

Based on the clips, the 35-year-old musician tried to do the trick but slipped before his takeoff, leading him to miss his mark. His bandmates did not notice the incident and continued performing, while Merrygold also did his job and got back up to join the group again as if nothing happened.

Fans offered mixed comments after watching the video, with most of them applauding Merrygold's professionalism as he survived the blunder unscathed.

"I was there and honestly how he got up and carried on was Amazing. I'd still be laid out on the floor now," one said.

"Oh no why is this everywhere!? I was there last night I felt sick seeing it happen wanted to cry he's very lucky it could have been very nasty," a second commenter said, while another wrote, "The way he looked at his band mates like bruh!"
One added, "Sod the fall its the way you got back up and carried on like nobody was watching,hope you're okay though."

Aston Merrygold's Status After the Slip Revealed

Following the news, Merrygold's wife, Sarah, took to Instagram to give fans an update regarding the singer's status.

"A little sore, but he's made of strong stuff," she said. "That step as a lot to answer for, though!"

Meanwhile, Merrygold also shared his reaction by posting a video of himself lip-syncing while resting on a sofa. He dubbed a line from the 2015 film, "Legend," and mouthed, "When you see him next, you tell him I say: 'F--- Charlie, f--- his brother... and f--- the lot of yas.'"

"They're here for the down FALL," he captioned the post on Instagram.
