Adele is gearing up to launch a beauty brand after wrapping up her Las Vegas residency, however, fans are already dreading it-they think she will neglect her music career.
According to the Mirror, the "Rolling in the Deep" singer applied for a trademark and started a company called The Shelbourne Collective; she is looking into releasing makeup lines that will include eyeshadow palettes, eyeliner, and more.
It seems like the "Hello" singer is also looking into other products like lotion, lip balms, perfume, and even jewelry, watches, and underwear.
Unlike Adele's other releases, her upcoming project did not excite her fans it was the opposite.
"Oh, Goodluck daydreamers... her next album will be 47," a fan wrote, referring to the singer's penchant for naming her albums after her age.
"In 10 years, it seems literally every female celebrity will have a cosmetics line," another added.
"She will stop making music and all she will talk about is selling her makeup line lol good luck to all her fans."
Adele Ends Las Vegas Residency
The "Rumor Has It" singer just finished a leg of her "Weekends With Adele" residency at Las Vegas' The Colosseum at Caesars Palace; the residency will officially end in June 2024.
According to reports, Adele might be looking into a lucrative project that will give her a chance to rest her vocal cords.
"I don't know - she won't do what everyone else does," Lucy Dickins, the singer's agent, said.
"[Adele's] never done that in her life so I'd be surprised if she comes and does the same as everyone else. She's enjoying doing the residency and I just think we'll take each day as it comes."
Rihanna, Selena Gomez Launch Beauty Brands
Adele is not the only artist or celebrity who is looking to make it big not just in the music industry, but the cosmetics industry as well.
Rihanna launched her million-dollar beauty brand, Fenty, while Gomez launched her Rare Beaut, and Lady Gaga's Haus Labs in 2019.
Unlike the other artists, Beyonce launched a haircare line, while Grande recently launched R.E.M. Beauty on top releasing her highly successful perfume line.
Fans worry that Adele would end up like Rihanna, Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Grande, who have sporadically released music since launching their beauty brands and have focused mainly on their new business ventures.
