Finally we can all stop contemplating whether or not Kate Middleton is really pregnant because official confirmation was announced this morning. Clarence House announced that Prince William's wife, The Duchess of Cambridge is indeed expecting a second child next spring. Kate has also cleared her royal schedule for the near future due to another significant battle with severe morning sickness similar to what she experienced with Prince George in late 2012.
The media and royal watchers have wanted Kate to be pregnant for at least the last six months now, and every photo that popped up in the press was scrutinized for a possible baby bump. Ironically in recent appearances Kate Middleton has looked thinner and happier than ever. Perhaps the extra smile on her face has been because of the secret news that she and Prince William have been keeping.
What we do know is that even before Prince George was born the couple had talked about wanting three children within about five years- similar to Kate's age span with her brother and sister. She wants her children with William to be able to experience the close sibling bond that she has and it looks like the couple is well on its' way to doing just that. Prince George will be a few months shy of his second birthday when he becomes a big brother for the first time.
So you think that this royal pregnancy will be watched as closely as Kate's first one was? Thanks to Queen Elizabeth's changing some of the rules of the monarchy Kate and William's second child will be fourth in line to the throne, regardless of its' gender. Are you excited to learn of Kate Middleton and Prince William's baby news this morning? Should we start placing early bets on a birth date and the royal stats?
