Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and more artists are the top contenders for a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere next year.
According to the New York Post, James Dolan, the owner of The Sphere and the Knicks and Rangers, is in talks with Beyonce for a residency at the arena which boasts the biggest LED screen in the world.
A source revealed that the "Renaissance" singer's mother, Tina Knowles, and husband, Jay-Z, have taken trips to the world-renowned venue; Beyonce's team is asking for about $10 million to produce the Las Vegas residency show.
The news was met with mixed reactions from the Beyhive, the singer's fandom, who claim that The Sphere is too small of a venue to host Beyonce's fanbase.
"Girl bye, this would sell out within 4 seconds because the capacity is so small ... Maybe in 2040."
"Child I won't even attempt to get tickets to that it's already sold out and she hasn't even confirmed yet lmao."
In fact, some fans even turned down the idea of Beyonce having a Las Vegas residency altogether: "This is categorically false."
"Does Beyoncé know that she plans to do this?"
Who Will Play The Sphere After U2?
According to reports, aside from Beyonce being a top contender as a performer at The Sphere, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and Bon Jovi were all "considered" as well.
However, it is clear that between the aforementioned artists and Beyonce-who has raked in millions of dollars from her highly successful "Renaissance" tour-the choice is simple.
Reports even say that even the "obstructed view" seats at the "Single Ladies" singer's concerts were sold for hundreds of dollars.
Currently, though, U2 is having their Las Vegas residency at The Sphere, and they too have been seeing a massive boost in their ticket sales.

Beyonce's 'Renaissance' Tour
Fans are reeling from the "Renaissance" tour, which just ended a month ago, after touring Europe and North America.
As per Forbes, Beyonce is looking at $2 billion in revenue from the ticket sales of the tour alone, and fans are willing to spend more just to see her perform again.
Meanwhile, as per NME, The Sphere lost $98.4 million since its opening. Dolan is grappling to get another superstar to grace its stage- and they are hoping to see Beyonce at The Sphere next year in February.
