Travis Kelce's old Twitter/X account has been on a roll on social media very recently. His decade and years-old tweets have been unearthed, showing a kookier and naive side of the NFL superstar.
Swifties took the lead in unearthing these tweets.
Swifties Troll Travis Kelce's Old Tweets
Swifties are having a field day on Twitter trolling Travis Kelce, joking about how his old tweets give off the ultimate himbo energy.
In one of his now-most viral tweets, Travis Kelce tweeted this in 2019: "I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy"
The rather mundane tweet got Swifties in stitches.
"the word "himbo" gets thrown around a lot these days to the point where it's almost lost all meaning. but when a man in his 20s tweets like this... it feels like the right word to use," someone said.
"May we all experience the same joy in life that Travis Kelce experiences watching a squirrel eat a piece of bread," another fan wrote.
"Usually when someone's old tweets resurface it's horrifically offensive, racist, etc. But with Travis Kelce it's just him talking about a Squirrel eating bread," another gushed.
Many fans poked fun at how Kelce misspelled "squirrel" that Merriam Webster's Dictionary even corrected him in a tweet.
Another tweet that fans dug up was the complete opposite of the squirrel recollection - it's now a deep and thoughtful one.
"The capacity to live in the past by memory can also emancipate the individual from the tyranny of the present," Kelce tweeted sometime in 2012.
Fans were in disbelief that Kelce who draws enthusiasm on a squirrel eating a big piece of bread possesses a different kind of eloquence.
"I genuinely thought this was some random Proust quote but it seems this is Travis Kelce's own intellectual property??? What the hell?? This is the same guy that spelled the word "squirrel" like "squirle"" one tweeted.
A fan even likened Kelce's rather deep word rumbling to Swift's famous "Anti-Hero" lyric, "did you hear my covert narcissism I disguised as altruism like some kind of congressman."
"THESE ARE THE KIND OF FANCY CONFUSING FOLKLORIAN WORDS WERE LOOKING FOR cannot wait for trav to be a co-writer" another raved.
