Shakira won three Latin Grammys on Thursday and took a savage jab at her ex, Gerard Piqué.

The singer and the former football player's two sons, Milan, who is nine years old, and Sasha, who is seven, were present at the event in Seville, Spain.

After dating for 12 years, they called it quits in June 2022.

She talked about her "difficult moments" from the previous year when accepting the Best Pop Song and Best Urban Interpretation awards, which were given to her by her ex's football player colleague from Spain, Sergio Ramos.

The 46-year-old singer-songwriter later approached her sons as soon as she exited the stage.

They gave their mother a sweet peck on the cheek and expressed admiration for her and her prize. For Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, a joint song released in January with record producer Bizarrap, she also took home the Best Pop Song of the Year award.

When Shakira learned that her ex-husband Gerard had "betrayed" her when her father William Mebarak Chadid was in the intensive care unit, she said in July that she did not think she was "going to survive."

The celebrity claimed how her father had flown 'to Barcelona to soothe' her when she was 'consumed with anguish because of' their split, a year after declaring the end of her relationship with the athlete.

"While he was at Milan's first communion, he was gravely injured in an accident. Everything happened at once. My home was falling apart," she told People en Español.

She continued: 'I was finding out through the press that I had been betrayed while my dad was in the ICU.' She said she was heartbroken that she was unable to ask her 91-year-old father for the guidance she "needed so much."

During the interview, Shakira went on to say, "The man I have loved the most in my life, my father, was leaving me when I needed him the most. I couldn't talk to him, or go to my best friend for the advice I needed so much."

Shakira wore two gowns to the star-studded awards ceremony and performed at the annual Latin Grammy Awards.

She was nominated for seven trophies in four different categories. She and her sons showed up for the occasion wearing similar cream satin suits, and she looked fierce in a black and gold gown with a stiff corset top.

She wore gold platform shoes to match the metallic embellishments of her gown, and she clutched her son's hand as they entered the venue.
