The organizers of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Brazil broke their silence on the tragedy involving a 23-year-old fan.
On Friday, November 17, Swifties lost one of the fandom members after Ana Clara Benevides Machado died before the Rio de Janeiro show. Per reports, she went into cardiac arrest amid extreme temperatures.

On Instagram, Time4Fun (or T4F) released a statement in Portuguese confirming Benevides' death. It detailed that the fan felt sick before the show and was taken to the venue's first-aid center before being rushed to a hospital.
She died an hour later.
The Brazilian live entertainment company then launched new safety measures to prevent another tragedy from happening, including a provision of free water in the queues for the attendees.
"Entry into the stadium with sealed glasses of water and sealed processed food will also be permitted, with no limitation on items per person," the statement added. "We clarify that the requirement for items to be sealed follows safety recommendations. We also emphasize that the prohibition of bottles of water entering stadiums is a requirement made by public bodies and that we do not sell drinks and food, this being the responsibility of the stadium administration."
Time4Fun also disclosed that more service staff will join the show to assist the concertgoers, adding 200 extra employees to the 1,230 staff who had been working on the event.
The organizers had also expanded their medical care structure at the venue, having medical stations, ambulances and ICUs.
Concertgoers who attended the show disclosed that they were not allowed to bring water bottles inside despite the soaring temperature on that day. Although the venue recorded 39.1 degrees Celsius, Swifties said it felt hotter than that.
One fan, Elizabeth Morin, said the stadium had "sauna-like" conditions that she worked hard to check her breathing so she would not pass out. She also drank water but saw other fandom members looking distressed and yelling for water.
On the other hand, Justice Minister Flávio Dino said the ministry would also have emergency rules following the fan's death. Water bottles for personal use "in suitable material" will be allowed, though he also urged that producers should provide free drinking water.
