Last week, Dolly Parton finally released her highly-anticipated rock album titled "Rockstar" and it featured some of the biggest artists in the music industry, including Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney of the Beatles.
More recently, the musician opened up how the collaboration started and how she was able to secure them to be one of the guests in her album, particularly in the song "Let It Be."
The country legend recently spoke in an interview with NPR where she revealed that everything began with a love note.
"So I just sent them a love note through their managers, and I just said what I was doing," she explained.
The musician further elaborated that she told the two that she didn't want to put them on the spot, but she expressed her desires of them doing a collaboration with her. Parton then left her number for them to reach out to her.
"All the people I reached out to said, yes, we'd love to, and I was very honored and very proud and very humbled by that," she added. (via Loudwire)
Dolly Parton Regrets Not Having These Two Musicians on Her New Album
The recent interview comes a few days after the musician spoke with Taste of Country Nights where she revealed that she had regrets not having two specific artists collaborate with her.
She explained that Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones was supposed to record a song for her album, however, they had problems with schedule that's why they never end up recording a track in the studio.
In addition, she also noted that the frontman was busy working on their new album titled "Hackney Diamonds" which was released last month.

"He was willing to do it - willing to work with me on something - but we could never catch up... So I missed him," she said.
Aside from Jagger, Parton was supposed to work with the legendary singer Cher on her new record, but they never found the "right thing to do" as Cher's genre isn't rock.

Dolly Parton just released her new album "Rockstar" and it's new for her as this is her first-ever rock album in her decades-long career.
Aside from the Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, the singer was fortunate to collaborate with Steve Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Elton John, Sting, and many more.
