50 Cent's legal limbo against a concertgoer who was on the receiving end of a microphone he let loose on the crowd was finally put to rest.
In one of his concerts, 50 Cent got irritated after a technical snafu, and his microphone landed on a radio personality who was physically injured by the incident.
50 Cent Cleared Of Mic Throwing Incident
According to TMZ, 50 Cent has been cleared of any charges after the woman who was physically injured by him decided to pull out of the lawsuit.
Formally known as Curtis Jackson, the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office Representative told the publication that they have decided not to pursue any charges against 50 Cent.
The person on the receiving end was Power 106's host Bryhana Monegain. Apparently, 50 Cent didn't know that the microphone would land on the bystander. (via The Neighborhood Talk)
Based on the photos of the aftermath, Monegain was hit badly in the forehead, with some accounts saying that the blood was oozing on the floor after the direct hit.
In a statement that Monegain shared on October 18, she had this to say: "I appreciate everyone's support, prayers and well wishes while I've taken a break from social media to focus both on my health physically and mentally. It's still an ongoing process, but I'm thankful to be back. I'm also grateful to be getting back on the studio at Power 106."
At the time, many have scared 50 Cent that he might face battery charges, similar to Cardi B's own string of hitting someone with a microphone from the stage.
However, it seemed like 50 Cent was left unscathed in what would be a controversial lawsuit.
Fans Divided On 50 Cent Mic-Throwing Incident
Fans defended 50 Cent at the time, with some saying:
"I'm sure he didn't mean too. He definitely needs to man up, apologize, & pay for her hospital fees & also extra money for sincerity. I feel bad for her," a user said.
However, many pushed Monegain to pursue some legal action back then.
"I'll press charges and Sue he threw that mic hard AF that girl gonna have a damn dent in her forehead," someone wrote.
"Sue him like he sues everyone else. And make sure you collect ALL YOUR MONEY," another suggested.
"Now if it's not right for the fans to throw things on stage why tf would it be cool for y'all to throw things into the crowd?" another lamented.
