Queen Latifah has concerns about AI use, but she approves it.
She has officially partnered with Lenovo for the company's Evolve Small initiative to help small businesses by allowing them to use her digital likeness. Although AI has been an issue since it started booming, she approved of its good use.
Why Queen Latifah Is Okay With AI Use Revealed
Queen Latifah confirmed in a statement that she launched her startup in the late 1980s and early 1980s with Rakim, Flava Unit, and it made her realize how challenging it is to be in the business industry.
"At one point we managed about 11 gold and platinum artists from SWV to Naughty By Nature and Monica," she continued. "We were young and learning on the job. There were ups and downs and so something like this would've been great to have available to us."
The 53-year-old "Wrath of My Madness" rapper agreed to become the face of small business in six major cities. She allows them to use her likeness in creating AI-customized ads as part of the promotion.
Regarding the benefits, Queen Latifah said being able to give back pushed her to help others especially since small businesses are the "backbone of our economy."
Queen Latifah Launches More Goal
Aside from helping small businesses, Queen Latifah also worked to eradicate cyberbullying by creating a campaign.
"Milk shaming is apparently becoming a growing phenomenon on social media and in real life, even though 92% of American households consume dairy milk, so we wanted to create a campaign and show how a bit over the top the reactions are to drinking dairy," she continued.
She told her followers to watch out for each other online to prevent cyberbullying from existing further.
The proceeds from the OK2Milk merchandise will be given to Stomp Out Bullying, an organization that prevents cyberbullying while sharing details and educating people about certain issues, including LGBTQ+ discrimination, hatred, homophobia and racism.
The rapper previously appeared at MTV Unplugged Presents: Hip Hop 50 Special, and became the face of The New York Time Style Magazine's "The Greats" cover. She also turned people's heads when she attended the 38th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
