Travis Kelce reacted to the responses he had been getting over his now-viral old tweets.
Since dating Taylor Swift, Kelce has been getting the spotlight that he scored several deals he did not have before. At the same time, he also scored attention after the public dug into his past - which somewhat left a bitter taste in people's mouths.
Travis Kelce Opens Up About Past Tweets
During the Wednesday, November 22, of Travis and his brother Jason Kelce's "New Heights" podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted that he has been trying to get all his old tweets deleted.
According to Travis, he has been "tortured" by the messages that recently surfaced after fans dug them up.
"Like, since I've gotten to the [NFL], I've been like, 'Gosh, I want all those things to get deleted.' And sure enough, it came surface level and everybody f-------- dove into 2011. What a f------- year that was," he continued.
His brother agreed and said people indeed have tweets they would love to delete.
Swift's beau went on to explain that he used his X, formerly Twitter, account as a diary. He did not mind at all since no one followed him at that time.
The siblings also spoke about one of the tweets that divided the public, in which Travis wrote: "I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy."
They hilariously discussed how he spelled squirrel "like a jacka--," with Jason teasing him by saying he would spell squirrel the way Travis did.
Travis Kelce's Past Tweets Were Not All Impressive
While some of his tweets left fans laughing out loud, Joy Behar expressed her dismay and slammed the athlete in an episode of "The View."
On November 16, the panelist spoke about Kelce's since-deleted tweets in which he shared his thoughts about women. One of the controversial posts read: "damn the clippers girls gotta be the s----y girls that dont make the lakers girls team, cuz they all was ugly."
"He's illiterate is more to the point," Behar responded. "He's obsessed with the girls looking good, that was his thing."
While she criticized Kelce, Whoopi Goldberg and the other hosts said the tight end's past tweets should not define him as the things he shared in the past might not be the same he wants to post now.
