Hilary Duff manages a hectic schedule during the holidays, but she makes time for exercise by using a unique trick: working out first thing in the morning.
In an essay published on Tuesday, the 37-year-old "Lizzie McGuire" star, who recently dressed warmly for a laid-back jaunt in rainy Los Angeles, talked to Women's Health about prioritizing her health amidst the festivities.
The mother of three acknowledged to the publication that fall is going to be very busy for her and her kids, especially because there are a lot of things going on in the school these days.
The celebrity clarified that her "holiday health hack" is to work out first thing in the morning, saying it's just nice to get it out of the way before she spends the day eating and drinking
Regarding her own exercise regimen, Duff disclosed that she likes the Tracy Anderson Method, which, according to the fitness entrepreneur's website, focuses on "strong, lean muscles and create balance where there is imbalance in their body."
Hilary Duff also likes to take HIIT Pilates sessions in a heated studio. These classes combine Pilates with high-intensity interval training, which makes her "a little bit more sweaty" for "purging of toxins."

Exercises like push-ups and leaping lunges are part of the program. She said there's nothing better than the way [that workout] makes her skin feel,expressing that one of the advantages of HIIT Pilates is revitalizing her complexion.
The singer disclosed that she incorporates strength training in addition to high-intensity workout when she works out on her own.
"Lifting weights, as a woman, is really important. It's important for your bones. It's important for us constantly being on our cell phones and our posture," the "How I met Your Father" actress expressed.
However, she added, "I'm not talking like crazy heavy weights. You know, I'm not a bodybuilder. But it is nice to lift weights."
Duff explains that her attention to health extends beyond the gym to include self-care, which 'has developed into many different facets," primarily in ensuring she has a safe sanctuary, and not just about relaxing and resting.
On the same interview, she divulged what makes her marriage works.
Hilary Duff plays tennis with husband Matthew Koma "so they still like each other" despite being married for good amount of years now.
The singer/actress wed second husband Matthew in 2019 and she told him they had to pick a sport they could play together so their relationshio would remain strong.
"I play tennis every Sunday. My husband and I have that together, which is really nice. About two years ago, I told him: 'Here's the deal: We need a sport so we still like each other when the kids leave the house," she said. Wow, genius!
