DJ Khaled Bio
Khaled Mohamed Khaled (professionally known as DJ Khaled) was born on November 26, 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana. A son of Palestinian immigrant parents, Khaled spent the initial years of his childhood in New Orleans. At 13 years old, when the Khaled family moved to Orlando, Florida, DJ Khaled learned how to do DJ activities, thanks to the garage in his parents' houe where the activities took place, as per All Music.
Financial issues caused the Khaled family to return to New Orleans. As a teen, DJ Khaled worked at New Orleans' Odyssey record store, where he professionally connected with up-and-coming rappers, 'Lil Wayne and Birdman.
DJ Khaled Hits, Accomplishments, and Accolades
Khaled eventually returned to Orlando, then, from there, he moved to Miami where he struggled with the challenge of establishing a career as a DJ in the reggae soundclash business. After having persistently approached influential names in the DJ industry, Khaled became a regular DJ in WEDR's "The Luke Show." Not too long aftwerwards, Khaled established a name for himself as a DJ for Terror Squad.
Finally, DJ Khaled pursued a contemporary music career by creating his debut official mixtape. The release of this music material paved the way for Khaled to put out other music projects. Khaled released his debut full-length album in 2006 called "Listenn: The Album." The album fared well on the charts, as the Afrika Bambaataa-creation Cool and Dre production cover, ""Holla at Me" made waves in singles charts. The said song reached the Top 20 of Billboard's rap chart.
DJ Khaled collaborated with Nipsey Hussle on the creation of the song, "Higher." This song generated contributions from John Legend, went on to snag the 2019 Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Performance. Khaled recently teamed up with Drake in the creation of 2020 songs, "Greece" and "Popstar."
Khaled's fourth number one Billboard 200 album, "God Did" garnered five Grammy nominations, which included Best Rap album. DJ Khlaled's song collaboration with 'Lil Baby and Future, "Supposed to be Loved" was released in August 2023 as the lead single off DJ Khaled's 14th studio album, "'Till Next Time."
The Rappers Who Were at DJ Khaled's 48th Birthday Party
As DJ Khaled celebrated his 48th birthday earlier today, the rapper hosted a star-studded birthday party in Miami the day before his natal day this year, November 25th. Spectacular creative features donned the venue of Khaled's birthday party, which were inclusive of a woman dressed as a mermaid swimming in a tank, and fire dancers capping off the entertainment activities in the party, as per Xxlmag.com.
During the day of his birthday (November 26), DJ Khaled took to his official Instagram account to post multiple videos from his festive birthday party the night before. Among of DJ Khaled's fellow rappers who were present in the birthday party the night prior were Wu Tang clan member, Raekwon, Shyne, Future, Jermaine Dupri, N.O.R.E., A$AP Ferg, and Timbaland. Slick Rick was responsible for rendering performances for classic hit songs for the people in attendance of the party.
