Ozzy Osbourne would rather say goodbye to live tours rather than go up in a wheelchair. He said he's no Phil Collins.
Due to his continuous health concerns, the frontman of Black Sabbath disclosed his intentions to stop performing live if he is forced to use a wheelchair permanently. "I'm not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy," Osbourne, 74, told Rolling Stone UK.
"What's the f-king point in that? I'm not going up there in a f-king wheelchair."
Osbourne added, "I've seen Phil Collins perform recently, and he's got virtually the same problems as me. He gets up there in a wheelchair! But I couldn't do that."
The "Crazy Train" singer was given a Parkinson's disease diagnosis in 2003, according to a previous Page Six story. However, he didn't make the news public until 2020. Even though Osbourne has had a number of procedures and therapies for the nervous system illness, both connected and unrelated, it was an operation in June 2022 that would finally make him wonder if he would ever perform live again.
In an attempt to repair damage from a 2019 fall, Osbourne underwent his fourth spinal surgery; however, the procedure affected metal rods that had been implanted in his body during a 2003 bike accident. It has truly given him a rough time.

Osbourne didn't play in its entirety until 2018. According to Rolling Stone, the artist has only performed live twice since then, once in Birmingham, England, and once in Los Angeles in 2022.
Both performances lasted one or two songs. Osbourne's huge comeback gig was originally slated to take place in October as the main act at the heavy metal Power Trip music event in Indio, California.
He did, however, declare in July that he was withdrawing since he was unable to give a complete set. He said he's far too proud to have his first performance in almost five years be a shambles.
In the midst of his persistent health problems, music superstar Phil Collins performed at his final show back in 2022.
One Saturday night at London's 02, Collins was joined by fellow Genesis members Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks for their final performance. Collins, 71, told the audience he would now have to look for a real job as he performed the performance while seated.
After postponing because to the coronavirus, the band got back together for The Last Domino Tour this year.
The tour after a 14-year break from live performances. Collins has experienced a number of health problems recently, including a cervical dislocation in 2007 that resulted in nerve damage to his hands.
After undergoing back surgery in 2015, he started using a cane, and in September, he disclosed that he could "barely hold" a drumstick.
