Following a significant turning point in his NFL career, Taylor Swift is expressing her support for Travis Kelce.
The pop singer "liked" a Sunday Instagram post from the Kansas City Chiefs regarding her fiancé breaking the record for the fastest tight end to achieve 11,000 receiving yards.
In the Chiefs' 31-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in the second quarter, Kelce, 34, accomplished the accomplishment with a 27-yard reception. This was his 154th league game.
Tony Gonzalez, a Hall of Famer, had previously held the record with 191 games. Just three other tight ends in the NFL have gained more receiving yards than Kelce, who currently holds the record with 11,000 yards: Gonzalez (15,127), Jason Witten (13,036), and Antonio Gates (11,841).
Swifties flocked the Chiefs' post's comments section to congratulate Kelce on his most recent achievement and his girlfriend's subdued encouragement, which followed her performance on Sunday night in São Paolo, Brazil.
"Taylor, we see you lurking," one fan wrote.
"KARMA IS THE GUY ON THE CHIEFS," another commented, quoting a lyric that Swift changed at a tour date that her boyfriend attended back in Buenos Aires, Argentina, earlier this month. The reactions of the fans then were just so touching - because they literally went crazy hearing Swift's public announcement of her love for Kelce. Not to mention, she ran directly to his arms after!
September saw reports that Kelce and the 33-year-old Swift were "hanging out," and last month they gave their romance a serious boost by holding hands in New York City. Since then, the Grammy winner has gone to a number of the athlete's games, where she has met Ed and Donna Kelce, his parents.
While they were in Argentina for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour earlier this month, she introduced Travis to her father, Scott Swift.
In a subsequent interview with his podcast "New Heights," the NFL player admitted that he may have convinced Scott to be a Chiefs supporter over dinner the night before the performance, referring to Scott as "a huge football guy."
Meanwhile, In honor of her impending 34th birthday, Taylor Swift is giving Swifties the best present ever.
"Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we've had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!" Swift announced on her social media on Monday morning (Nov. 27). The record-setting film will be available on-demand by December - just in time for Christmas!!
Swift's announcement that an enhanced version of the already three-plus-hour concert film will be released, featuring performances of "Wildest Dreams," "The Archer," and "Long Live," made the already excellent news even better. The film will be accessible for on-demand rental in the United States, Canada, and soon-to-be-announced additional countries.
