Harvard University announced that they, too, will be including a course about Taylor Swift in their curriculum come 2024; the course will be called "Taylor Swift and Her World."

According to Entertainment Weekly, the course will be taught by Professor Stephanie Burt, who also happens to be a poet and critic.

Aside from the Ivy League school, the University of Florida will also introduce the course "Musical Storytelling with Taylor Swift and other iconic female artists," which will be handled by Melina Jimenez, and the syllabus will tackle the discography and songwriting of Swift as well as Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, and Dolly Parton.

This is not the first time the "Cruel Summer" singer was honored in the academic field. Last year, Swift was given an honorary doctorate by New York University.

The University of Melbourne in Australia unveiled an academic conference about the singer called "Swiftposium," which will also happen next year.

Other academic institutions will be having lectures and courses about Swift as well, including the Ghent University in Belgium, the University of Texas at Austin, Berklee College of Music, and more, reports say.

As of this writing, neither universities have release information on how to sign up for the courses, although it should be noted that they might only be available for students enrolled in the said universities.

Is Taylor Swift the Music Industry?

Fans of the "Love Story" singer cannot help but marvel at the heights Swift has risen to since her "downfall" in 2016.

"One of the top schools in the United States and the WORLD having a class on Taylor Swift...her impact can't be denied," a Swiftie wrote.

"I will be taking the Berkeley course but it's amazing that all of these top universities are studying the works of Taylor Swift. How can you not call her the music industry?"

Some even compared Swift to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Many debate over who is the bigger and more successful artist between the two.

Taylor Swift vs. Michael Jackson

Swifties began saying that the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer has reached "Michael Jackson-level" of fame, while others say she has set a new level altogether.

According to reports, talks about the comparison came about when Swift's "The Eras Tour" concert film was released; the film is about to reach a record set by the late singer's documentary, "This Is It."
