Keke Palmer has undeniably endured a lot of challenges and personal obstacles in the past until today. The teen star has grown to become a successful and celebrated actress, but this has not prevented her from bumping into unhealthy relationships - even a tug-of-war with fame.
Very recently, the public has been a witness to the tumultuous relationship she had with her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, whom she had revealed to have been emotionally and physically abusive towards her and their son.

Talking about the time when fame hit her, Palmer revealed that "no one" could relate to what she was feeling at the time, not even her parents or siblings.
"Anytime a dynamic is shifted like that it can get highly toxic, because no one knows how to deal with the trauma of being a celebrity, or having a celebrity child," she painfully recalled. "My parents did great, and I said this in my book: I can judge all day and night, but I'm pretty good."
Despite this, Palmer affirmed that she was on the right track and admitted that she could have been "worse off."
"But the reality is, I remember at that time, as a child, when I did not have the awareness and the understanding and words and the knowledge that I have now, I just said 'I'm never coming out again."
Now, a new sense of confidence and sureness has surrounded Palmer. In the same interview, she said: "And at that point, it was just like, I choose happiness and I choose joy, and I don't choose to go back there. And like you said, as time goes on, I'm like, I'm good, whatever that was, I'm good."

Keke Palmer, Darius Jackson Drama
Palmer's words came at a particularly harrowing moment in her life. Earlier this month, Palmer, who had everyone confused about her relationship with her now ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, accused him of being emotionally and physically abusive toward her and their child.
In her filing, as obtained by NBC News, she stated that she has been repeatedly attacked, trespassed at her home, and even became "very frustrated" with their 8-month-old son. She filed a temporary restraining order against him which was eventually granted by a judge.
