Back in October, Cher brought the holiday season early to her fans as she was able to release her first-ever Christmas album in her decades-long career. She worked hard in recording the project in collaboration with her boyfriend, Alexander Edwards, but she recently admitted that she initially hesitated on working with him; what happened?
According to American Songwriter, the "Turn Back Time" hitmaker's hesitation began when they celebrated their one year of dating.
"I kept thinking 'Oh, do I really want to do this? Do I really want to put my relationship in jeopardy? Because I don't care how you try to patch it," she explained.
The musician added that if a person does something for you and you're not pleased with it, it's "bound to do some sort of, little bit of damage."
Cher Was Happy With How One of the Songs Came Out to Be
One of the tracks titled "Drop Top Sleigh Ride" was a success as Cher raved about it. She was also happy that her boyfriend was able to use his connection for her to collaborate with Tyga and join her in the track.
"I thought, you know, maybe Alexander had twisted T's arm. But he - no, he said, when he heard it, he thought, 'That's cool. I want to be on it.' And so it was it's a real surprise and comes at a perfect time," she said.

Aside from Tyga, the singer also had special guests on her album like Michael Bublé, Cyndi Lauper, and Stevie Wonder.
Cher Opens Up How She Fell In Love With Alexander Edwards
Cher recently appeared in an episode of "Chicken Shop Date" hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg. During the interview, the musician candidly opened up about her relationship with the record producer.
She revealed that she didn't fall in love with him quickly. It all began when she left to travel to Switzerland and she received a text from him asking where she was going.
After revealing her plans, Cher said he replied with: "Well get some rest baby, with three Ys." (via the Independent UK)
Initially, she was pissed off because they were not that close, but they kept in touch with one another through the months and she later fell in love.
