Serious sexual abuse allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs have sparked intense legal proceedings as well as a dramatic shift in his social circle.
The hip-hop mogul is now facing three separate lawsuits, and the repercussions are being felt throughout his inner circle.
OK magazine has learned from its exclusive sources that some of the 54-year-old artist's A-list friends have completely severed their relationship with him as he faces the concerning allegations.
Diddy Exiled?
It's clear that something has changed in the air, as those in powerful positions have distanced themselves from Diddy - a controversial figure within music and fashion circles.
Word on the street is that certain people no longer feel comfortable aligning themselves with him due to allegations (currently being assessed), which has had a significant impact on both his personal life and career.
According to sources close to the situation, Diddy's formerly raucous parties are now eerily muted due to many of his friends and acquaintances consciously keeping their distance.
The Lawsuit
As previously reported by the outlet, Cassie - R&B starlet Cassandra Ventura - filed a federal lawsuit alleging that Diddysubjected her to acts of physical and sexual assaults.
In a legal document, Cassie accused her ex-boyfriend Diddy of various wrongdoings during their 13-year relationship. The filing alleged that the record producer had forced her to participate in s-- activities, drugged her and physically abused her.
Furthermore, prior to their breakup he reportedly broke into her house and raped her.
The N.Y.P.D has released a report concerning DCPI's executive and their status with regard to any investigations surrounding sexual assault or rape allegations.
The statement made it clear that no active investigation is being conducted by law enforcement at this time.
They also shared that anyone who is a survivor of these types of crimes should come forward so action can be taken and proper services offered to those affected.
"The N.Y.P.D always treats allegations of sexual assault and rape extremely seriously," the statement said, "and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report."
In response to the settlement of Cassie and Diddy's lawsuit, Ben Brafman, attorney for the rapper, released a statement that "it was in no way an admission of fault.
"Mr. Combs' decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best," they said in a statement to the outlet.
"We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best."
