Taylor Swift caught everybody by surprise when she suddenly showed up at one of Travis Kelce's football games--however, apparently, it was no big deal for the couple.
"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," the "Bejeweled" singer revealed during her interview with Time Magazine for her Person of the Year cover story. "We started hanging out right after that."
The Kansas City Chiefs player famously gave Swift a shout-out during his podcast "New Heights" with his brother, Jason.
In the episode, Kelce revealed that he tried to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his number on it during her "The Eras" tour show in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
The "Love Story" singer probably found the gesture cute, because they immediately started going out right after the episode was aired, and apparently, they spent a lot of time getting to know each other before the famous hard launch.
Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Solidify Relationship
According to reports, Swift and Kelce kept everything on the down low, because no one saw them publicly going out on dates-it was not until she showed up to his football game.
"So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," she continued.
"By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."
Swift also explained why she has been very supportive of the tight-end player, making sure that she attends all of his games.
"When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," she explained.
Travis Kelce Gushes About Taylor Swift
Swift is no longer shy to hide her affection and support towards her boyfriend.
"The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other," Swift continued.
"I'm just there to support Travis... I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads... Football is awesome, it turns out... I've been missing out my whole life."
Meanwhile, Kelce is also just as charmed and supportive of the singer. He attended her "The Eras" tour show in Argentina; he was seen standing next to the singer's father, and he always gushed about her in his podcast.
