The year 2023 is Taylor Swift's year.
After scoring TIME's 2023 Person of the Year title, Swift added another under her belt after Forbes named her the most powerful woman in media and entertainment after she landed on its list.
Taylor Swift Scores a Forbes Title
Forbes published its Most Powerful Women list, showing Swift in the No. 5 spot. The "Lover" singer ranked 79th in 2022.
The magazine acknowledged her contributions this year, making her secure the spot after Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey. Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen appeared in the top spot, while United States Vice President Kamala Harris and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni came in third and fourth, respectively.
"Two nights of her tour in Denver added $ 140 million to Colorado's gross domestic product, thanks to fans spending an average $1,300 apiece on hotels, restaurants and retailers," Forbes acknowledged.
It continued, "The Philadelphia Federal Reserve even cited Swift in its June Beige Book, noting that May - the month the Pennsylvania native performed at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly for three nights - marked the strongest month for city hotel revenue since before the pandemic. The U.S. Travel Association estimates that, collectively, the U.S. leg of the Eras tour added more than $5 billion to state economies."
Swift also played a huge role in the increase of American football viewership after she started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift Is Also TIME's Person of the Year
Swift flew higher as TIME recognized her as the person of the year this year.
"Over the years, I've learned I don't have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don't matter. Yes, if I go out to dinner, there's going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends," Swift shared in her interview with TIME. "Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years - I'll never get that time back. I'm more trusting now than I was six years ago."
Swift also talked about Kelce - for the first time - in the interview as well as the feud she had with Kim Kardashian years after her and Kanye West's infamous 2009 VMAs interaction.
