Before Amy Winehouse passed away in 2011 from alcohol poisoning, Bryan Adams disclosed that he made an effort to support his troubled buddy.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 64-year-old singer discussed their "chaotic" Christmas trip in 2007 when he brought the celebrity to his Caribbean vacation house and talked about their bond.
He had thought that Amy would benefit from the restful vacation and wholesome food, but she was able to sneak drugs onto the plane and was said to have swallowed wrappers worth £2,000 worth of heroin.
Additionally, she was reportedly unimpressed when Bryan's mother fed her vegan cuisine and carrot and beet juice, and she reportedly told Elizabeth Hurley to "f**k off" when she stopped by to say hello.
Bryan, who met Amy when he photographed her, explained, "we became friends. So I invited her to spend the holidays with my family."

The rocker explained, "sure, I tried to help her but, you know, it's got to come from within. I really don't know what happened with Amy and it is so sad because she was so, so talented and I so admired her individuality massively. But did I make a difference? I don't know."
Bryan's six-bedroom Mustique villa was neighboured by Mick Jagger and Tommy Hilfiger's holiday homes, and Amy's best friend previously revealed they witnessed her in the midst of her drugs spiral.
Tyler James told The Mail On Sunday that it was just after Christmas 2007 when he came to the island to help his best friend, Amy Winehouse, get away from drugs.
"We were on the island as the guests of the singer Bryan Adams, staying in his stunning house surrounded by palm trees, powder-white sand and aquamarine ocean," he explained.
"But Amy had somehow smuggled drugs on to the flight, smoked them in our famous new friend's beautiful home, and now they had run out," he further said.
"She was withdrawing and had been heavily sedated by a local doctor. That was how I found myself invited to dinner with the neighbours. People were asking about Amy," he shared.
"I tried to hold everything in but I got upset. It was Jagger who comforted me. "Don't worry, man, she'll be all right. People in that world go through this sort of thing," he disclosed.
