Britney Spears and her father Jamie Spears have had a tumultuous relationship since he placed her under his conservatorship for over 13 years--will his recent leg amputation change that?
According to reports, Jamie was spotted for the first time riding a wheelchair since his leg was amputated due to a serious infection that began in October.
Netizens could not help but jeer at him for putting Spears through the conservatorship, "Karma is eating him up so good we love to see it," one wrote.
"That's God spiting him for what he did to his daughter."
"He can still go to prison he better watch out."
"You know who has two working legs," another added.
While the "Oops I Did It Again" singer's fans are adamant that Jamie got what he deserved, many still wonder whether the father and daughter have had the chance to have a conversation before or after the leg amputation--maybe even reconciled.
According to reports, Spears shared a throwback picture of herself with her father on Instagram.
Britney Spears Puts Jamie Spears on Blast in Memoir
Spears wrote about Jamie in her best-selling memoir, "The Woman in Me" several times, and reflected on what he did to her and how it affected her.
"There was no way to behave like an adult, since they wouldn't treat me like an adult, so I would regress and act like a little girl," she wrote. "But then my adult self would step back in-only my world didn't allow me to be an adult.
"I felt like I was being deprived of those good secrets of life-those fundamental supposed sins of indulgence and adventure that make us human."
Jamie Spears Still Lives in Britney Spears' Storage Warehouse
According to Page Six, Spears might have been freed from Jamie, but Jamie still lives in the shadow that he cast himself from the time he put the "Baby One More Time" singer in a conservatorship.
Spears likened her father to a "cult leader," and noted that he used her music career to help his "cash flow."
"He's still living in an RV next to Britney's storage warehouse with all her stuff in it," an insider said.
Aside from living in the singer's storage warehouse, Jamie also lost "more than 25 pounds" after dealing with numerous surgeries to get the infection under control.
