The expanded edition of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour film was released on Wednesday, but it can only be rented for a whopping 48 hours for an outrageous price, leaving fans furious. Some are starting to think that the star, despite her billionaire status, is still so money-hungry.
In honor of the singer's 34th birthday on Wednesday, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Extended Version) was made available on Prime Video in the US, Canada, and the UK.
The singer-songwriter has referred to her current tour, The Eras Tour, as a trip through each of her 10 studio albums to date.
Three additional songs-Wildest Dreams, The Archer, and Long Live-that aren't included in theaters are included in the re-released concert film.
But only for a 48-hour rental-it costs £15.99 in the UK and $19.89 in the US and Canada-is the film available.
Taylor's move have drawn criticism from her followers for the 'mental' cost and for merely allowing them to rent the movie rather than purchasing it to own or stream it as part of their subscription.
Many expressed regret that they were unable to pay the price or "justify" it; one even claimed that they would have to "choose between watching a movie and not eating for two days."

Enraged supporters criticized the choice on X, the former name for Twitter, claiming that they had already paid exorbitant sums of money for her "crazy prices" in order to support her.
"Happy birthday, Taylor Swift or whatever, but girl, I'm not giving you $20 for a 48-hour movie. I'm sorry. GIVE US THE OPTION TO BUY," wrote one commenter.
"I'm sorry, but almost $20 to RENT the film is way too much," said another. At that price, I would be interested in purchasing it. @taylorswift13, you can't keep upping the costs, so while those are wonderful numbers for you, some of us don't think it's worth it.
A third person said, "I always spend money on Taylor Swift stuff, but even I can't justify paying $19.89 to rent the Eras Tour movie; if it were a purchase, I would have it by now."
Another person tweeted, saying, "As much as I love Taylor Swift, it's f***ing crazy that she's making a movie that you can rent for £15.99." Fans reminded her that they are ordinary folks with huge living expenses.
"I love Taylor Swift, but $19.89 for a movie rental at home is ridiculous," a fifth person commented. If she had wanted to be charming with the price, she could have made it $13. It's time to p*rate.
"Bro, I like Taylor Swift, but you could never catch me spending twenty f***ing dollars to RENT A GODDAMN MOVIE JESUS CHRIST," said the sixth person who nodded in agreement.
"I've paid over £400 to go see Taylor Swift and stop over night, plus an additional £40 for a cinema ticket and merchandise," expressed dissatisfaction by another admirer. Although I adore her and her music, when will the absurd prices end? It's absurd that I have to choose between watching a movie and eating for two days in order to pay £16 for a single rental.
"Taylor Swift has lost her mind if she thinks I'm going to pay $20 to rent a movie for 48 hours, like really what planet do you live on," exclaimed the eighth person, furious.
"I wish I could rent it for Taylor Swift's birthday today, but I can't do so due to budget restrictions," complained the ninth person.
One former admirer wrote, "Oh $19.89 to RENT and not own... I am DONE with Taylor Swift," while another stated, "£16 to RENTTTTTT that Taylor Swift movie is insaneeeeeee."
This comes after Forbes reported that Taylor's net worth reached $1.1 billion in October, based on the Eras Tour, while the movie is expected to have made $250 million globally.
