Will Miley Cyrus replace U2 as Las Vegas resident artist?

After a "higher offer" was reportedly offered, the 31-year-old pop artist, who had previously stated that she had no plans to go on tour anytime soon, is reportedly back in talks to become the next Adele, Britney Spears, or Celine Dion with a Sin City residency performance.

The Sun newspaper's Bizarre Column was informed by a source that Miley had long been discussing her Sin City debut. She turned down an offer from MGM at first, but even though she despises traveling, she still enjoys performing. Recently, discussions picked back up after a better offer was made.

The insider continued that the main issue is that because bosses paid the 'With Or Without You' rockers a reported £800,000 per show, artists are now "digging their heels in" in the hopes of getting a high fee. If the 'Flowers' hitmaker accepts the offer, she will be taking over from U2 at the Sphere.

"One of the problems bosses have is that because they paid so much for U2, other artists have taken notice and are digging their heels in when it comes to their fees," the insider explained.

Beginning her 'Best of Both Worlds Tour' at the tender age of 14, Miley performed as both herself and her Disney Channel persona, Hannah Montana.

Over the years, she organized several more tours. The 'Wrecking Ball' singer, who hasn't played in the UK in nearly ten years, however, revealed that although she feels "more connected" to fans than ever, life on the road isn't what is "best" for her right now after doing a modest series of dates for the "Attention Tour" in 2022.

She wrote on Instagram: "This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans and everything to do with I simply don't want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road," she said.

"These looks I've been turning don't travel well. The archival looks don't fold. I just don't want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn't what's best for me right NOW," she added.

According to Forbes, Miley Cyrus will formally claim another No. 1 hit on a Billboard chart in a matter of days. When she does, Taylor Swift-possibly the biggest musician on the planet right now-will be replaced by her. According to Billboard, next week will see Cyrus' current single "Used to Be Young" ascend to the top of the Adult Pop Airplay list.

The list keeps track of the songs that are playing well on adult pop radio stations nationwide, which caters to an older listenership. "Used to Be Young" is currently at No. 2 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, meaning it will remain at the top for one additional week.
