Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign shocked fans when they included a song titled "New Body" in the tracklist of their upcoming joint album, "Vultures."
According to reports, West recorded the song with Ty Dolla $ign, and Nicki Minaj many years ago. Still, the demo version was leaked online in 2018, which led to the song being cut from several album cycles, including West's album "Yandhi."
West took to social media to share a screenshot of a message he sent to the "Super Bass" rapper, asking her permission to release the song: "Hi, it's Ye. May I call you about clearing 'New Body' on the new album?"
Minaj took to social media to share her thoughts on the matter: "Child, that train has left the station, OK? No disrespect in any way.
"I just put out a brand new album. Now why would I put out a song that has been out for three years? Come on, guys. You know?"
The rapper recently released her first studio album in years, "Pink Friday 2," the follow-up to her debut studio album, "Pink Friday."
Nicki Minaj, Kanye West's 'Biggest Hit Record That Never Came Out'
During an interview in February 2022, Minaj shared her thoughts regarding "New Body," and her disappointment with the song never seeing the light of day.
"The public adored 'New Body.' 'New Body' is the biggest hit record that never came out," she said.
"So what I thought was interesting was that Kanye made me write my 'New Body' verse four times over in order to fit into where he was creatively and spiritually in his life.
"I missed it by a year, I guess. Had 'New Body' been out when he was not in his gospel era, then it would've seen the light of day. But, it didn't, so it wasn't meant to be," the rapper continued. "Everybody knows that's the hit that got away. [...] I think the ship has sailed for 'New Body,' everybody has come to love the original way they heard it."

Kanye West Attempts to Revive Music Career
After several years of laying low from the music scene, West is attempting to regain his seat in the hip-hop game with the release of "Vultures."
The album will be his first release since he was embroiled in criticisms and backlash due to his anti-Semitic sentiments.
Fans could not help but cheer on Minaj for standing up for herself and denying West clearance to release "New Body."
"As she should, he ignored her multiple requests to put it out but now that it gained so much traction he wants to use her? Absolutely not."
"AS THE QUEEN SHOULD, he played in her face WAYYY too many times. Only wants to use this for his benefit."
