Taylor Swift has been compared to her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.

As Swift moved on with Travis Kelce, some fans could not help but attack Alwyn as more details about their relationship popped out of nowhere. Social media users have already vowed to defend the actor once it happens again, and they recently praised him for doing something the singer couldn't.

Amid the Israel-Palestine conflict, Alwyn broke his silence and showed his support for Palestine. This led some social media users to slam Swift again for not being able to do the same thing.

For the past weeks, the 32-year-old actor has shown support as calls for a ceasefire emerged. He also joined the list of celebrities who have urged President Joe Biden to "call for and facilitate a ceasefire without delay - an end to the bombing of Gaza, and the safe release of hostages."

Alwyn made his latest move on Wednesday, December 13, by sharing an article with the title "We are no strangers to human suffering, but we've seen nothing like the siege of Gaza" on Instagram.

Social media users defended Alwyn again after the recent development and revealed his family's connection to activism, particularly in Palestine.

"His great uncle was a peace activist and a patron of the Palestinian solidarity campaign. His name was Bruce Kent if anyone is interested in further information. They had a close relationship," one Reddit user said, per The Mirror.

They also questioned Swift being TIME Magazine's Person of the Year even when she refused to speak up about the conflict.

While some hate Swift for staying silent, a user pointed out that the singer has been voicing her support via her website. The user included a screenshot showing that www.taylorswift.com uses "Palestinian Territory, Occupied."

Swift reportedly visited Ramy Youssef's comedy club and had 100 percent of the event's proceeds to be donated to the victims in Gaza.

The user continued, "I'm sure Taylor Swift has contributed a significant amount to Ramy Youssef. Although her support for Palestine isn't explicitly stated, I'm delighted she subtly signals her care through these small gestures (big impacts)."

They also defended Swift and said she does not need to get involved in complicated topics.
