Will there be a "Surviving Diddy" documentary to explore the allegations surrounding Diddy like what "Surviving R. Kelly" does?
Four women came forward to share their experiences with Diddy years ago, claiming the music producer assaulted and harassed them in the past. He broke his silence after the fourth accuser emerged to dismiss the claims, but 50 Cent expressed his desire to develop a documentary on the allegations against the rapper and donate the proceeds to sexual assault victims.
A "Surviving Diddy" Documentary Possible?
Collider recently noted the possibility of a "Surviving R. Kelly"-inspired documentary, but one that focuses on Diddy's allegations. The talks started after 50 Cent's production company confirmed the release of a documentary about the recent bombshells.
The news outlet took note of the similarities between R. Kelly and Diddy's tales of violence and abuse involving different women.
50 Cent confirmed on X the release of the documentary, saying that the flick's proceeds will go to the victims of sexual assault and rape.
"The untitled 'Diddy' documentary is in development through G-Unit Film and Television with Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson serving as Executive Producer, proceeds from this documentary that G-Unit Film & Television receives will go to victims of sexual assault and rape," a representative said in a statement that confirmed the development of the documentary.
It remains unknown whether it will follow the style of "Surviving R. Kelly," but there might be differences since the embattled singer already started his prison time after being found guilty on all counts of kidnapping, racketeering, and sexual exploitation of a child.
What the Accusers Said of Diddy
The plans for the documentary were presented to the public after Diddy's fourth accuser claimed Diddy and other men took turns in raping her at House Recording Studio when she was in high school.
Diddy, former president of Bad Boy Entertainment Harve Pierre and a third unnamed man were reportedly involved.
The filing, obtained by Rolling Stone, presented photos taken the night of the assault, including a snap showing the alleged victim sitting on Diddy's lap. The woman recalled how the group groped her after feeding her with intoxicants.
"Ms. Doe did not consent to having sex with Mr. Combs, but he continued thrusting," the lawsuit added. "At some point, Mr. Combs turned Ms. Doe around to face him. He told her that he could not orgasm and asked her to squeeze his nipples as hard as she could to help him 'get off.' He then turned her back around and continued to rape her."
On the other hand, Diddy issued a statement to Rolling Stone to deny the claims.
